I don’t see how you open a cooler bar than the recently constructed Washington Avenue venue, Kung Fu Saloon.

It’s a vintage arcade, as well as a sports bar. In other words they maintain many of the great video arcade games from the ‘old school’ of arcade games: Ms Pacman, Big Buck Hunter, Galaga (my favorite), Golden Tee, Streetfighter II, Double Dragon, NBA Showtime and more. What a brilliant way to disarm and entertain the patron. They also have 3 original skee board machines (always free), shuffleboard, foosball, Giant Jenga, Giant Connect Four (3 feet tall), Giant Checkers, Chess, Dominos, Liars Dice, Scrabble, and Yahtzee.

Several flat screens keep you informed and entertained regarding any sports that are shown on TV.

The beer snob is also to be well taken care of: Abita Strawberry, Maredsous 8, Blue Moon, Modelo Especial, Chimay, Firemans #4, Phoenixx Double ESB, Dogfish Head, 60 Minute, Saint Arnold Fancy Lawn Mower, Fat Tire, Shocktop, Rasberry Guiness, Southern Star, Bombshell Blonde, Southern Star, Pine Belt Pale, Leinenkugel, Sierra Nevada, and a whole lot more.

They also have at least 9 different kinds of sake bomb, if that’s your thing.

Parking is a pleasure with one of the biggest, secure lots on Washington, along with some limited roadside parking.

The patio is dog friendly. Sunday is fun day with mimosa specials, bloody Mary bar, and all day happy hour.
