Washington Ave couldn’t be completed without an Irish-style bar. It is reminiscent of a good old European neighborhood pub. It is a relatively small space, but there is something very charming and comfortable about it.
The layout of the tables makes sense, and the bar is quite accessible even in a crowded situation. The bartenders are very nice, and they will make almost any drink you can suggest.
Good selection of beers, including Irish brews for those die- hard Irish pubbers. The prices are very accessible, which makes this a great place to take some pre-game shots before you head out somewhere else, or what the hell! just kick back and hang out here all night. Another real treat this pub has to offer is the back outdoor patio that isn’t right on Washington Ave. It is not a large patio by any means, but that is what makes this place so intimately appealing.
Also: turns out that pouring a perfect pint of Guinness starts with the right mixture of gas in the line. For this reason, the Dubliner pours one of the best pints of Guinness in town.
Ask bartender and General Manager, Keith, about his technique. As an affable Irishman, he’ll be glad to fill you in.
